Located in eastern Berks County, PA, the Monocacy Hill Recreation Area contains miles of interesting hiking. The terrain ranges from very easy to moderately difficult. One may choose loops that remain easy throughout. Various species of flora and and fauna may be found at all times of year.
Perfect for day-hiking, interesting pathways are found along the way. Some feature cut timber indicating the paths. Benches are found at several locations, and are a great means for sitting still and waiting for nature to "relax." There is no lack of wonderfully-colored fungi along the way.
Come along with us as we take in a Fall hike on Monocacy Hill. Keep in mind, there is no overnight camping on the hill.
